The Makerbot Replicator is a next-generation 3D printer. It uses either ABS or PLA filament to print any object you desire.

Instructions on use can be found it the wiki. 

Clean the build platform with acetone before each use. Replacement kapton tape is in the box on the shelves marked "Makerbot stuff"

Issues

  • Right extruder is prone to sticking. If you encounter problems, use only the left extruder until it is fixed.

History and Ownership

This item belongs to Diyode and was purchased with money from the Trillium foundation. It was purchased from Makerbot Industries directly when Simon Clark went down to Detroit for Makerfaire.
