There was concern from members about closing off front area. There was discussion about cleaning and fixing the back room instead.

new truck committee - Diyode-Quassel

The Diyode truck is in need of some work on the ignition. There is concern that we are reaching the end of the life span of the truck. The expenses in repairing the current truck is reaching the point where it may be more affordable to purchase a new one. Will revisit in the future.

Meeting Notes

Transition Guelph is starting tool lending library. They are focusing on food production tools. Several ideas were presented (e.g.,running repair cafes, starting little library making workshop). We were asked if we can put a C-Can in the back of Diyode. The sea can idea was turned down. There was an agreement in principal that little library making workshops and repair cafe. These could be fundraising opportunities.

Artist is Residence has been selected. Winner and other people who submitted proposals will be notified soon. Program received a lot of interest from the community. There is interest in continuing the program in the future. Gavin has volunteered to be part of a committee in the future.

Satish small scale manufacturing. Satish is creating food growing cabinets fro growing micro greens in recycles containers from Danbey. This could be a possible fund raiser for Diyode. Satish is looking for help and space to assemble. There was interest from members. Next Steps- members to see plans for products. Satish will send pictures and ideas.
