submission request for Maker Expo - automageek

We need people to cover the booth from 10am to 6pm. Maybe 9 from the time we set up. Anybody interested in helping see Eva. It's a great show; last time there was a whole lot to see. Additionally, we need any projects made in the shop to show off.

Scouts would like to come and do some sanding on their projects on Tuesday September 13th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. They need bench space and some palm sanders. They will bring their own sandpaper and some sanders - automageek

We need volunteers -- Chris is our first victim. Executive to sort out paperwork.

Bandsaw changes: New blades are on order. From now on the wood bandsaw will only be equipped with a 5/8" rough cut blade. If you need something more fragile, buy it yourself, take it off once you're done, and put the stock blade back on. The thinner blades are taking too much abuse for us to keep buying them. - simon_clark

UofG Raspberry Pi Update (again) - Diyode-Quassel

We need volunteers for the sale. See Daryl, if you'd like to help. He's looking to man the booth for four days. We have an Ingenico chip pad and bluetooth printer for the sale (thanks Ken!), complete with software. We can now process debit via chip or tap. However, it does not print item receipts, only debit receipts. We will need to have paper receipts ready.

Shop lighting - Diyode-Quassel

It's getting darker outside again, and it's time to replace our beat up lights. We'll do the front classroom area as we do the clean room.

Planar outlet on floor in puddle of water. - Diyode-Quassel

After heavy rain against the bay door, there was a puddle at the front of the shop. The 240v planar cord was sitting in the puddle. The cord is now ziptied up. However, be advised the front of the shop is a heavy flooding area, and be careful what is left loose. We may also have to replace the weather stripping at the shop. Additionally, extending the cord on the planer, to eliminate the extension cord may solve the problem. Chris has been voluntold. The drain pipe at the front of the shop has cracked again, and the drain in the parking lot is not keeping up. Diyode will take it up with the landlord.
